IJMC - Poem For Mum
Still on the relatively quiet bit...helps that the authors are known for=20
these...and subscribers to boot! -dave
Again, greetings from NZ, just thought I'd drop this one in for your
consideration. I was thinking about the recent mailing about your Mum, and =
I
looked up this poem I wrote for mine, and though, well, I'd share it.
Thanks Mum

When I need someone to listen,
When I need someone to care,
When I need someone to lean on,
I know that you=92ll be there.
I said a prayer for you today,
And know God must have heard,
I felt an answer in my heart,
Although he spoke no word!
I didn=92t ask for wealth or fame,
(I knew you wouldn=92t mind),
I asked him to send you treasures,
Of a far more treasured kind.
I asked that he=92d be near you,
At the start of each new day,
To grant you health and blessings,
And friends to share your day.
Thank-you for the times you=92ve listened,
Thank-you for showing you care,
Thank-you for being strong for me,
Thank-you for being there.
I love you Mummy.
