IJMC - A Night of Theatre, Replied
Well, he may not believe this is post-worthy...but I think the last line
cinches it. After all, as I often remind people...this is a "junk" mail
list. If you just want humor, all of the time...there are many other
lists! Anyway, read on...catch ya again in a moment. -dave
P.S. Just to beat Flip to the punch..."Jane spanked my monkey!" Ahhh.
P.P.S. Flip wants to remind me, "You ain't right, son." Agreed.
> Eternity - The time that passes between a dropped cue and the next line.
Oh, good how THAT bit us in the collective ass.... But it was one of the
most inspired improvs in the history of american theatre! :)
> the actor who just decided to turn his walk-on part into a major role by
doing magic tricks while he serves tea.
That actually worked to advantage in one show... the walk-on part became a
major comic presence, and really lightened up the whole show... The guy
managed to turn up the comic content without ever speaking a line...
> Strike - The time immediately following the last performance while all
cast and crew members are required to stay and dismantle, or watch the two
people who own Makita screw drivers dismantle the set.
I think I spit up on myself laughing at that one.... :) It's TRUE!!!
There are always two guys with Makitas.... But we also had a guy with a
chain saw... THAT was fun.
Be well
